Spark 1 Ballet/Tap (Ages 3-5)
Introduces ballet and tap terminology along with the movement. Exploring rhythms, spatial awareness, coordination, and structure through movement.

Spark 1 Hip Hop and Tumble (Ages 3-5)
This combo class is for energetic little ones that are always showing off their dance moves and love to flip around. It combines the basics of hip hop and tumbling skills with age appropriate movement and music.
Dress Code: Girls: Hip hop attire with sneakers over leotard or unitard. Sneakers for hip hop and barefoot for tumbling. Hair is to pulled back from face and neck. Boys: Athletic shorts, t-shirt, and sneakers.

Spark 2 Ballet/Tap (Ages 6-8)
Designed for dancers to explore the basics of tap and ballet in one class. Incorporating terminology along with movement and a more structured class atmosphere. Exploring ballet positions and center work and tap basics and rhythms all to age appropriate music.

Spark 2 Hip Hop and Tumble (Ages 6-8)
An upbeat and energetic class, using current age-appropriate music. Designed to develop strength, body placement, coordination, musicality, and performance style. Focusing on proper terminology and technique.
Dress Code: Form fitting t-shirt or tank top; black capri style pants/leggings; and clean sneakers. No jeans or shorts.

Shine Ages 9-13
Shine Ballet (Ages 9-13)
The foundation of all dance forms. Incorporates grace and precision of movement, while working on the fundamentals of dance. Focuses on overall body alignment and awareness, while emphasizing the proper usage of a dancer’s body.
Dress Code: Capezio Hanami Ballet Shoes-Pink, Sodanca Cami Leotard with Princess Seams-Black, Barbette Transitional Tight-Ballet Pink. Students should have their hair pulled back in a bun. Boys: White t-shirt, black pants or shorts, black ballet and tap shoes.
Shine Hip Hop and Pom (Ages 9-13)
An upbeat and energetic class, using current age-appropriate music. Designed to develop strength, body placement, coordination, musicality, and performance style incorporating hip hop and pom. Focusing on proper terminology and technique.
Dress Code: Form fitting t-shirt or tank top; black capri style pants/leggings; and clean sneakers. No jeans or shorts.
Shine Jazz/Tap (Ages 9-13)
This class will enable the student to further develop jazz and tap skills. Emphasis is on placement, balance, control, discipline, and clean lines and proper dance technique. Tap promotes coordination and an acute sense of rhythmic patterns.
Dress Code: Bloch Pulse Slip on Jazz Shoe-Caramel, Capezio Downtown Tap Shoe-Black, Cami Leotard with Princess Seams-Black, Barbette Transitional Tight-Caramel; dance shorts or leggings (optional).
Luminous and Shine Lyrical (Ages 9-13)
Lyrical dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Dress Code: Angelo Luizio Turning Shoe (half sole lyrical shoes), Cami Leotard with Princess Seams-Black, Barbette Transitional Tight-Caramel; dance shorts or leggings (optional).

New students need to be evaluated for placement. Please contact the office to inquire about any placement questions. All students taking Pointe must be in two Ballet classes, not inclusive of the Pointe.

Our goal is to give all dancers with the passion to perform that opportunity! The EDC Performing Company is for dancers and parents who are excited and committed to advancing beyond recreational classes. We focus on building strong dancer and confident students on and off the stage. The performing company plays an important role in EDC's mission of community, inclusion and artistry by seeking opportunities to share our passion for dance and the universal language it provides for all. Dancers are divided into levels based on age and ability as we see most beneficial to that individual dancer and group. We have opportunities for dancers wanting a more advanced curriculum and performance through advanced dancers striving to compete and achieve at a highly competitive level.
Mini Company
This is an entry level into the Performing Company for younger students. Class will incorporate intermediate to advanced technique and instruction in ballet, tap, and jazz.

Embody Luminous and Radiance- Acro
Designed for dancers ages 9 and older with prior tumbling experience, this class focuses on developing strength, flexibility, balance, control, and acrobatic technique. Students should already have a foundation in basic tumbling skills, as instruction will build on existing knowledge and progress to more advanced acro elements. This is a technique-based class that meets weekly and does not participate in our Annual Spring Showcase. Perfect for dancers looking to strengthen their acro skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Attire: Dancers should wear all-black fitted dance attire, such as a leotard with shorts or leggings, or a fitted athletic top with leggings. Hair must be securely pulled back. No shoes are required—class is taken barefoot.
